Tony Lovett trained as an accountant (CPA) in Sydney, Australia. He has had a long career in the accounting, taxation and governance fields, operating a number of branch practices in country New South Wales and Victoria and later in Brisbane, Queensland. He has appeared before Tribunals and Boards on behalf of clients in relation to tax disputes, all of which have had successful outcomes.
The practice Lovetts – Consulting Accountants of Brisbane is now operated by Tony’s son, Andrew Lovett.
Tony authored You Be The Judge way back in 1975. This was a book promoting farm business management “pleading for profit in farming.” He has written monthly tax publications from 2001 to 2009 and Annual Taxation Manuals for those years.
Tony held the position of National Tax Technical Manager for Australia’s then sixth largest accounting/financial services firm. Prior to that, whilst operating the professional practices, he also ran a Ford motor dealership for ten years, then later a farm holiday resort for a similar period.
Tony is a committed Christian with a passionate belief in the omnipotence of God and of our calling in this world to love our fellow man.
His latest book is Healing Is Your Birthright – Claim It! : Spiritual Healing Rediscovered.
Tony’s qualifications include Fellow of:
CPA Australia (FCPA),
Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS), and
Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA).
